Women
Every face here belongs to the person wearing it.
The frames are empty because the pictures are not ours to show. They are the model's, to keep, to sell, and to walk out with. When one of them puts her picture here, it is because she decided to.
Men
Every face here belongs to the person wearing it.
Empty for the same reason. The picture is his, and he decides where it goes.
The agency the models own.
They set the rates. They keep the rights to their own face. They split the money, and the split is on the wall. The person in the picture owns the picture.
There is no agency yet. There is the ownership one would have if the people in the pictures drew it up.
See where a booking goesRates
Drag the fee. Watch the same job pay two very different ways.
The usual agency
Owned by the models
Ownership
How it works, in four sentences.
The models own the shares.
Not a union bolted onto an agency. The agency itself, owned by the people it represents. Profit that used to be a founder's is a dividend that is theirs.
You keep your face.
The rights to your image do not transfer at signing and do not linger after you leave. The most valuable asset in the building walks out with the person it belongs to.
The rate is yours to set.
The agency negotiates for you, never against you. There is no incentive to book you cheap and often; there is every incentive to book you well.
The books are open.
Every model can see every split, every fee, every deduction. An agency that cannot show a model where her money went is not one she would have built.
For every model who was told the agency's cut was the cost of being seen, and asked, reasonably, why the seeing had to cost the seen.
